Steve Ansell
is a Yorkshire based musician, director and writer. He is the Artistic Director at stage@leeds (the University of Leeds public theatre complex), founder of Gi60: The international One Minute Theatre festival and co-author of 'One Minute Plays: A Practical Guide to Tiny Theatre' (Routledge 2017, S.Ansell, R.Burnett-Bonczek)). Steve has directed and taught theatre for over twenty years with performances in the UK (including the National Theatre and The Edinburgh Fringe), the U.S and China.
As a music maker Steve has been writing, performing and teaching music for over twenty five years and has performed across the UK, in North America, and Europe. Steve is a solo artist and also currently leads roots Anglicana band 'Good Earth Collective'.
Steve is passionate about music and is the proud owner of a first class honours degree in popular music.
